As many of you already know, since I last updated, Max and I are now engaged !  Getting ready to get married has been the most exhilerating experience!  It is a ton of fun, and so exciting knowing that God plans to use you in such an important way, as a dedicated, hardworking, cheerful wife and Lord willing, a mother.  The Lord has been so incredibly gracious to us!

Today is Father's Day, and it has been an awesome day!  My dad is such a steadfast strong leader, and I am joyful and proud to call him my earthly father.  In honor of him and his wishes for this special day, we went to PGA Golf Superstore (every man's dream warehouse, haha).  And it was a lot of fun! He taught me how to swing a golf club and I ended up hitting about 196 yards, thanks to his coaching!  God has blessed our family so much by letting my dad be the spiritual leader; he is awesome

Max has been gone for a few weeks now, training up in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and I miss him very much; however, the Lord has been so faithful, and has given me the grace to make it through each day.  Time has already sped by!  In Max's absence, God has worked fervently in my heart and in my life, causing me to grow more dependent on him more and more each day.  Just opening the Word fills my heart with so much joy and hope.

Summer school has begun, and so far, I am loving it!  I recently changed my major from education to Health and Exercise Science, and am soaking everything up like a sponge; it is definitely something I love and it has been such a work of providence in my life. For one class, I run about 3 miles every class.  For another, I learn all about how to be an HPS major and succeed.  For another, I learn how to correctly lift weights and design a weight training program for an athlete.

Just a few updates:
1.  I have a cold, haha.
2.  Max is doing well, and so far is loving Cav Scout school (he gets to play with M2 Bradleys and Humvees)
3.  A huge prayer has been answered!!!
4.  Another huge prayer has been answered--I have a few job opportunities!!!
5.  I have decided to read a proverb a day every month (a chapter  for the 30-31 days in the month)
6.  Max and I are reading the whole book of Psalms together while he is at training.
7.  I also plan on reading 5 books this summer... 1 down, 4 to go
8.  My parents are planning a surprise for my birthday....that's all I know...
9.  Wedding planning!!!
10.  I have taken up drawing, and although not very good, it is a favorite new hobby.

I believe that is all for now.  God Bless!!!

I am so joyful!!!  The Lord has been MORE than faithful!!!  I find such peace and joy in knowing that He is sovereign, unchanging, and merciful and compassionate even when I don't deserve it.  T-1 week and counting until spring semester is over.  I have about a month off to work and earn some money before summer semester starts.  School starts the 30th of May which I will most likely be missing to go to a worldview conference with the Thelens, Lord willing .  It will soooo be worth it!  And Max leaves for CAV SCOUT SCHOOL June 2 or so.  He will have a blast...driving strikers, sniping people, physical training .  I'm excited for him!

So Bethany and I have been working out! YAY!  And we both have really noticed a difference in our energy levels and overall physical well-being.  It has been a lot of fun.  She's working on running; I'm working on flexibility.  Of course she is much further along in running than I am on flexibility, haha (I'm probably the least flexible person in the universe, haha).

My sister, Bethany (not to be confused with Bethany Adams, who is referred to above ) has decided to go away to college.  She has chosen UGA over KSU *sad face.  However, she has been praying about it and truly feels like that is where the Lord is leading her, and she is very very excited.  I'm a little bummed but that's just because my sister is moving away .  She wants to be a dentist and UGA has a very good pre-med program.  However, we have told her that pre-med = no social life (which makes me happy! I'd rather her be a social outcast and make excellent grades then be in the "in-crowd" and fail out of college)  But she seems very determined to do pre-med, which is cool =).  I know she'll do awesome there.

I have a special prayer request for a friend of mine....that's all I can say right now, but please just pray for her.

I have always been intrigued by science and creationism.  So what did I do?  I bought a book!  I love books...I just wish I had time for them =).  However, I have read about 60 pgs. so far and is rather excellent.  The author is amazing; he is a former athiest journalist.  He plays the skeptic as he ventures on finding the truth about science and God and evolution.  He addresses questions like: Are science and God opposites?  Does the belief in evolution lead to atheism?  Are there hard scientific facts that point toward God?  Needless to say, it's a pretty awesome read so far.

Well, 'tis nearly half past midnight and seeing as I have church in the morning, I would find it wise to lay my head upon my pillow.

God Bless!!!

One of my favorite quotes (and one that I have used in about every education assignment so far):  "Education without values, however useful it is, seems rather to make a man a more clever devil." ~ C.S. Lewis

So....tomorrow is Easter! And it so totally snowed last night!

School is continuing and is actually coming to a close in about a month. This year has flown by.  I was pondering about where I was a year ago and I am so so so thankful to be in God's grace, because He has covered me so wondrously and so undeservedly.  What amazing grace and mercy covers me daily, and I am so joyful.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me!

T
is all for now!

God Bless!

I am amazed at how much has happened in the past week or so.... I thank the Lord for it! Things truly have been a blessing and an answer to prayer!  The Lord's faithfulness has proven again and again, and it always will!  It's been a wonderful and restful week so far for me.  I know that many things await me when I get back to school on Monday, but I pray the Lord will grant me the grace to make it through the semester.  Its only about half way done but it feels like it should be done.  I also pray the Lord will give me the grace to make it through school non-stop from here on out until I graduate...summer, fall, spring, summer, fall, spring.  So no more summer breaks for me .  But I'm glad because it means that much closer to graduating.  Right now, I am trying to be patient and continue to seek the Lord's will, for there are so many areas in my life in which I need to be constantly seeking God's will right now.  So in hopeful prayer, and patient anticipation, I wait in the Lord.  He is my strength when I need it most and my comforter when I need it most.

Our soul waits for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
For our heart is glad in him,
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord,
be upon us,
even as we hope in you.
~Psalm 33:20-22

The Lord's mercy baffles me more and more each day; however it is grows that much sweeter every day.    Praise the Lord for His infinite wisdom, His grace and mercy, His steadfast love, and His sovereignty!

Overall mood: YAY!

God Bless!
